The auto body repair process and what you need to know…

Step 1: Estimate

Stop by the shop to have a visual inspection done by our estimator.

Step 2: Insurance Approval

After you originally submit your claim, we take care of the insurance from there! Most insurance companies will do a review of our estimate to see if it needs any revisions per their individual guidelines for repair times and parts. This process usually takes 1-2 days but can be extended if they feel that they need to send out one of their own adjusters to take a look at the vehicle.

Step 3: Ordering Parts

We will order all of the parts needed for the repairs on your vehicle. If possible, we have contracts with certain dealerships to get OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts at the price of Aftermarket which is usually what insurance companies like us to use. Certain parts might have to be special ordered and this could add extra time on the repairs.

Step 4: Disassembly

Our body technician will take apart the vehicle and see if there is any additional damage that was not on the original estimate. This is called supplemental damage. We will take photos and bill this directly to the insurance company.

Step 5: Structural Repair

The structural damage occurred during an accident must be repaired first. Our trained technicians will use a computer-based measurement system to analyze the frame of your vehicle allowing us to accurately return your vehicle to manufacturer requirements.

Step 5: Body Repair

In the body repair department, technicians replace the exterior panels and all metal finishing that is required. Sheet metal is installed and aligned before the vehicle goes to the paint preparations department.

Step 6: Primer and Paint

The next step to completion is to prep, prime and paint your vehicle. We shoot with 2 stage paint. Base coat is first then a clear coat is applied over the top.

Step 7: Reassembly

Almost there! Now it’s time to put all the parts and pieces on your vehicle so it can send to detail.

Step 8: Detail

It is important to us to make sure your vehicle looks like nothing happened to it on the outside and inside. We do a great vacuum and cleaning to make sure your vehicle shows no signs of being in the shop.

Step 9: Completion

We test drive every vehicle to make sure the are running properly with no lights on the dash or any issues. After completing your paperwork you are able to drive away with a peace of mind that you have a life time warranty on all the repairs we have done to your vehicle.
